I have been self-employed and specialising in decorative paint techniques since 1988, gaining a wealth of experience and an impressive portfolio. I have seen the trends change from rag rolling and sponging on walls in the 80’s, to dragging and colourwashing in the 90’s.
I have a natural artistic flair and after seeing a piece of wood turned into marble using only paint, I was fascinated and had to know more! I attended various courses in the mid 1980’s and learned a range of paint techniques, such as marbling and wood graining, from Derick Tickle (Decorative Artist at Guildford College, now living in the USA).
For the past 20 years I have specialised in hand painting kitchens and furniture, working alongside local kitchen showrooms, interior designers, or with private clients. I have worked for prestigious builders of luxury homes such as Nationcrest and Octagon and am currently one of the kitchen painters for (click on link to be taken to their site).
I pride myself on attention to detail, professionalism and the highest standards of workmanship. I always welcome the opportunity to advise my clients on achieving the finish and colours they want for their kitchen or furniture. To achieve this, my preferred paint suppliers include:
